Islamic unity is a mission and beneficial for Muslim world

Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, welcomed Mehmet Gurmez, the Head of Religious Affairs Organization of Turkey, highlighting solidarity among Muslims as the religious mission of all Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Ayatollah Araki in this meeting expressed regret over the issues which have harassed the world of Islam warning against dispersion and domestic wars as the most important problems.

He expressed his gratitude over the proximity activities of the Turkish official particularly a recent interview by the Turkish figure on Islamic unity calling that a proof for the unifying views of the head of Religious Affairs from Turkey.

The cleric highlighted importance of Turkey in the world of Islam and noted,” We hope that the special care of the Turkish cleric and political authorities, Muslim world will witness great changes for the better.”

“Islamic unity is a religious mission and interests of the world of Islam are all dependent on maintaining solidarity among Muslims.” said Ayatollah Araki.

He added,” We hope that cooperation of Iranian and Turkish religious and political leaders in a bid to boost solidarity among Muslims will be quite fruitful.”

Grand Ayatollah Araki expressed hope that the visit by Mehmet Gurmez will pave the way for close cooperation of both countries in line with Islamic unity.
