Text : The activity of the Iranian mission in Jeddah was closed in 2015 after the severance of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia after the attack of same outlaws on the embassy of this country in Tehran and its consulate in Mashhad. Although the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation have always been related to the relations between Tehran and Riyadh, nevertheless, this organization has a good capacity to resume relations. Tehran and Riyadh have once again used the capacity of this international organization to improve their relations, when for the first time since the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the eighth summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, then known as the Organization of the Islamic Conference, was hosted by Iran, and then-Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the highest-ranking Saudi official to ever visit Iran, attended the meeting. Let us not forget that the promotion of Islamic solidarity among the members is the first of the seven goals of the establishment of this organization. The presence of diplomats at the Iranian embassy in Jeddah will take place a few days after the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq announced the imminent holding of the fifth round of talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia in Baghdad. In other words, the decision to reopen Iran s Mission in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation can be considered the first outcome of the four rounds of talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia hosted by Iraq, which according to those close to the talks are currently focused on bilateral relations. On the other hand, the issue of neighborliness and good relations as a definite policy of the 13th administration is an issue that has been pursued by the 13th administration s foreign policy apparatus in various diplomatic formulas over the past few months, and talks with neighbors have been based on it. In the Persian Gulf, the Foreign Minister has visited some PGCC member states, including Oman and Qatar, held various telephone conversations and consultations, and some regional and Persian Gulf officials has visited Iran which according to diplomats, these measures have been taken in line with taking important step in creating comprehensive arrangements in the region. Of course, these comprehensive arrangements in the Persian Gulf are the first step and are aimed at eight countries in the Persian Gulf, although according to the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the countries of the region have suggested that these arrangements can be extended to peripheral regions. Regarding bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia, although at this stage the main focus of the two countries is on the beginning of Iran s Mission activates in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, the Islamic Republic of Iran has always stated that it is ready to resume full relations. As the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Raisi, noted in a press conference early in his election as president, the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to open its embassy in Saudi Arabia, and it is up to the Saudi side to take practical action. Emphasis on endogenous arrangements by the countries of the region is one of the constant policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially towards the PGCC countries, and Tehran will consider all measures to move this path towards implementation.
