Bright horizons of unity and passing through crisis in Muslim world

By: Seyyed Morteza Nematzadeh
A review of the beginning of religious disagreements between Shia and Sunni, its gradual escalation to an apogee and then the recent years’ alleviation indicates a Sine curve.
Bright horizons of unity and passing through crisis in Muslim world
This sinusoid wave proves that any heightening in radical religious moves and empowerment of extremist Salafi movements, Muslim communities and the Islamic nation in general witnesses the formation of a negative reaction to extremist moves which is followed by a period of recession in the power extremist religious groups and consequently a return of balance, proximity approaches and tendency to Islamic unity.

The Zionist regime imposed war, also known as 2006 Lebanon War, and the attack of the Zionist regime against Gaza late in 2008, dubbed as The Gaza War or Operation Cast Lead, showed the peak in the power of Islamic resistance against the Zionists at the time which led to the highest degree of unity in Muslim world.

This undeniable increase of Islamic unity provoked the Arab regimes, which were dependent on the US and in compromised with the Zionist regime, to start a religious war between Shia and Sunni in a bid to save their position, guarantee the interests of the US and security of the Zionist regime, confront with Islamic revolution, anti-US and anti-Zionist movements.

Because of that reason and due to its diversity of religious combination and political disagreements in Iraq, they turned the country to a hub for mass production of disagreements, bloody religious tensions and then exporting that to the world.

For that end, a wide active network of extremist Salafi forces was designed, armed and funded by Saudi Arabia in cooperation with United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Qatar was formed and deployed to Syria. In fact Jordan served as the gateway and a major part of human forces and facilities entered Syria via Jordan Iraq border.

While the intelligence, security, military and economic system of regional countries, backed by the US and Zionist regime, have dipped Islamic territory into a religious tumult, the whole region, in a delicate move, stood witness to mitigation of tensions and indication of convergence among Shia Sunni leaders against radical religious moves and crimes committed under the title of denominations.

With the beginning of an era of convergence, proximity and unity in Shia-Sunni relations in 2011, Arab world entered a new era of political changes due to Islamic Awakening movements, dubbed as Arab Spring by the western countries.

Since the context of Islamic Awakening moves is an ultra-religious and unifying one and follows a religious path, Muslim world is, in fact, witnessing a religious moderation and increase of proximity tendencies.

Because of concerns of the petrified Arab axis, the US, UK colonial powers and also regional and world Zionism over empowerment of Islamic revolutions and possibility of spread of Islamic Awakening in US, Israel influenced countries, particularly Saudi Arabia, authorities of this axis intended to create a new hub for fueling religious differences and bringing a gap in Muslim world in a bid to turn Islamic-American and Arab-Israeli conflicts to Islamic-Islamic and Arab-Iranian war making that a center for production of religious contrasts and spreading that to the whole world of Islam. Hence, they summoned everything within their power to create a crisis in Syria as resistance fortresses in the Arab world with the aim of toppling the regime in there.

On the other hand the chaos in Arab revolution countries provided the opportunity for petrified Arab movement to involve religious extremist movements, so far excluded from political arenas during former regimes, and confronting US-backed despotic regimes who avoided uprising against the regime, in a new process to enter the diplomatic arena, form political parties, play a role to the interest of their supporters, fan the religious extremism and prevent unity in the Muslim world under different pretexts and in reality hire some executives and bases for realization of their disintegrating policies.

This new system by religious extremists is at the service of starting religious clashes. Its first mission is to recruit enough forces then create a radical religious ambiance and make ideological and political tensions in a way that prevents any form of religious and diplomatic proximity among different denominations. It is noteworthy to mention the behavior of Salafis in recruiting young girls for a so-called Nikah-Jihad (sexual jihad to meet the demands of opposition troops) and their measures to prevent closeness of Iran with countries like Egypt, under religious pretexts.

This is while there is not the least move from these countries for announcing a war against the Zionist regime and deployment of forces to confront Israel or even an opposition against normalization of ties with the Zionist regime.

Radical behavior of the Salafi groups and escalation of disgusting side of the clashes besides biting religious mottos and crimes in Syria, from immoral behaviors dubbed as jihad to inhumane shocking reactions like dismembering the corpses and eating body members of the victims, have been followed by such negative response that confrontation with Salafi groups have been prioritized in many countries limiting the space for activities of radical groups.

It is noteworthy that the issue of confrontation with terrorist jihadi groups, like Al Nusra in Syria, has been prioritized by many countries over confrontation with Syrian government because religious extremism is a threat for world security.

Therefore, it seems that Muslim world and the whole region is on the verge of a new era of moderate religious tendencies, Islamic proximity and Muslim unity.

Consequently, jurisprudents, religious leaders, Islamic Parliament of Iran and proximity organizations, particularly World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought as well as the diplomatic system of the country lead schedules to take giant steps for boosting Islamic unity and proximity.
