The Syrian Druze position was not sectarian

Lebanese Member of Parliament, Talal Arslan, on Tuesday affirmed that the national Druze fabric in Syria was highly coherent and well immune and that the national position of the Syrian Druze was not sectarian.

Arslan, also head of the Lebanese Democratic Party and a Druze Leader, visited former President Emile Lahoud for a meeting over the current general situation in Lebanon and most recent developments in Syria.

The Deputy said that Syrian Druze were the mainstay to the Syrian people's unity.

Arslan made these remarks in response to fresh statements by PSP leader, MP Walid Jumblatt, who said it was time for the Syrian Druze soldiers to reject orders by the military "to kill their Syrian brothers in Homs, Hama, Idlib and other Syrian districts."
