Yuri Lazar Tasik, professor at the Slovak University of Nitra, expressed solidarity with Syria against the conspiracy "to which it is exposed because of its strong anti-imperialist stances."

He stressed that the U.S. has a record of supporting terrorists to undermine national unity in countries that oppose the US hegemony and ambitions.

In a statement, the Slovak professor vehemently criticized the misleading media campaign launched by satellite channels to distort facts in Syria.

He, on the other hand, condemned the terrorist acts that took place in Damascus last December, leaving dozens of civilian and military deaths, as well as all the terrorist and sabotage operations perpetrated by the armed terorist groups in Syria.

Prof. Tasik noted that his visit to Syria last month gave him confidence in the ability of the Syrian people to foil the U.S. plans against Syria.

He also highlighted the popular support to the reform program led by the Syrian leadership.

He expressed his admiration of the history and rich culture of Syria, showing his desire to visit it again and wishing it stability and prosperity.
