King Hamad among the worst U.S repressive allies

U.S. "Foreign Policy" magazine ranked the ruler of Bahrain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa among the worst United States allies to achieve its strategic interests in various parts of the world.

The list that ranked King Hamad as the third among eight of the repressive rulers and the worst offenders as described by the magazine and who continue to receive ongoing support from the United States despite the repression they perform against their opponents.

The magazine pointed out that the monarchy of Bahrain launched massive crackdowns on Bahraini protesters by Saudi and United Arab Emirates military forces, and killed 30 civilian and injured hundreds more, according to Human rights groups.

Also the magazine mentioned that the human rights groups said in July, that despite the lifting of emergency rule by King Hamad in June, hundreds of detainees still in custody and a large numbers of them were tried in military courts.
