Iran reduces diplomatic ties with Britain

President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, declared that the decision to decrease diplomatic ties with Britain, and commissioned the concerned authorities to take necessary steps to implement the resolution.

According to media sources, Ahmadinejad told the authorities to implement the decision to reduce ties with Britain, which was taken by the Islamic Shura Council following the attitudes of last aggression taken by the the United Kingdom against the Iranian people, including the imposition of new sanctions that include dealing with the Central Bank of Iran, and supporting and funding riots that was erupted after the presidential elections in Iran 2009."

The resolution was taken in the Islamic Shura Council on 20 of November, and urge the Iranian Foreign Ministry to reduce the level of diplomatic relations and withdraw the Iranian ambassador to London, and authorize his functions to the "charge d'affaires."
