Rejection of foreign meddling in Syria
the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi conveyed Iran's support for the Syrian public's demands for administrative reforms in Syria under the command of President Bashar Assad.

Abadi's stance came on Monday in the wake of his visit to Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the Grand Serail.

Separately, Mikati received at the Grand Serail the Syrian Ambassador Ali Abdul Karim Ali, who stressed upon the necessity of well controlling the borders between both countries so as to prevent any sort of arms smuggling or security unrest.

In a related context, Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Wu Zexian underlined that the western powers seek to complicate the situation in Syria through foreign interference in its internal affairs.

Ambassador Wu pointed out in an interview with al-Hayat Lebanese newspaper on Sunday that the western powers' pursuit to complicate the situation in Syria made China use the veto in the Security Council to prevent issuing a resolution to allow that.

He reiterated his country's stance which rejects foreign meddling in Syria's domestic affairs and calls on all parties in Syria to adopt dialogue, proceed with reforms and find a peaceful solution to the crisis.

The Chinese ambassador underlined the importance of exerting more efforts between Syria and the Arab League (AL) to activate the agreements to solve the crisis and work on resolving problems in a suitable way through dialogue.
