International Quartet representatives held separate meetings with representatives of the Zionist entity and the Palestinian Authority in order to develop a plan to return to the negotiations between the parties.

According to "Israel today" newspaper, it is not expected to reach a meeting between "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, which the Quartet called for convening it a month ago when it announced the resumption of the negotiations course, which included a request from the Palestinians and "Israelis" to reach an agreement by the end of 2012 and to fix borders of the Palestinian and the Zionist Entity within three months.

According to "Maarev" newspaper, the proposal guarantees for the Palestinian Authority, that U.S. administration will take a tough stand against "Israel" if will not committ and in case of building outside the boundaries of settlements or building new neighborhoods, adding that the U.S. position will be revealed by dealing seriously with the Palestinian request submitted to the UN to recognize an independent Palestinian state, and the demand from some European countries freeze and cancel some deals with "Israel".
For his part, member of the Executive Committee of Palestine Liberation Organisation, Saeb Erekat stated that the Palestinian Authority did not received formally any U.S. administration proposal to freeze the settlement, assuring the Palestinian leadership's refusal to negotiate through media, also declined the distinction between total or partial settlement building freezing, and called the occupation to halt all settlement activity, including the so-called natural growth of settlements and to accept the principle of two states.
