For his part, member of the Executive Committee of Palestine Liberation Organisation, Saeb Erekat stated that the Palestinian Authority did not received formally any U.S. administration proposal to freeze the settlement, assuring the Palestinian leadership's refusal to negotiate through media, also declined the distinction between total or partial settlement building freezing, and called the occupation to halt all settlement activity, including the so-called natural growth of settlements and to accept the principle of two states.
