The Supreme Leader of the revolution said in a meeting: "There are many good attributes for Isfahan. Isfahan is the city of science, the city of art, the city of Jihad, the living city. Regarding science, in Isfahan, perhaps in these last four hundred years, the number of great scholars of Isfahan, whose importance, value and fame are not just related to Isfahan, but some were famous in the entire Islamic world, some have covered all of Iran, if we want to name them, in fiqh and in Philosophy, Hadith, Tafsir, and the like would be a thick book if we only write their names. The great scholars of ours, even up to our time, such as the late Mr. Naini, the late Abolhassan Isfahani, the late Mohammad Hossein Isfahani, these are all the great scholars of different eras, for about four hundred years. It is a city of knowledge. Not only in jurisprudence, it is the same in philosophy, some are not from Isfahan, but they grew up in Isfahan, they developed in Isfahan, Isfahan brought these men. This is the characteristic of Isfahan. The city of faith and love for Ahl al-Bayt."
The Supreme Leader of the Revolution stated: "Isfahan's water issue is an important issue. I have also been pursuing this case. Many friends wrote letters, I also referred and followed up. I now order the respected government officials who are really trying and working, to work as hard as possible in this field, to work as fast as possible; It means that the people of Isfahan really deserve that all officials work for them round-the-clock."
The Supreme Leader added: "The eight-year holy defense was a very important event. Many of our youth do not know what happened. Eight years all the powers of the world were on one side; Iran on the other side. Now, for example, there are incidents in some places, there are attacks on a country, for example, first of all, it is not as large as it was in Iran. Secondly, finally there are those who help them."
"At that time, NATO was with Saddam, the United States was especially with Saddam, the former Soviet Union was with Saddam, some European countries that were not very dependent on the Soviet Union were not dependent on the US, they were also with Saddam. Like Yugoslavia. It means that the whole world was on one side and the Islamic Republic was on the other side," Ayatollah Khamenei stressed.
The Supreme Leader elsewhere highlighted, "Well, in this war, with the same movement of the people and the same motives of the people, Iran was able to win with empty hands. We found a complete and brilliant victory in the eight-year war."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized: "The problem of arrogance with the Islamic Republic of Iran is that if the Islamic Republic advances and becomes prosperous, the logic of liberal democracy in the Western world will be invalidated."
The Supreme Leader went on to say: "Westerners were able to loot the whole world for more than two centuries with the logic of liberal democracy. At one place they said there is no freedom here, at another they said there is no democracy and entered. Under the pretext of establishing democracy, they looted the property of that country, the treasures of that country, the resources of that country. Poor Europe became rich at the expense of many rich countries like India and China. Iran was not directly colonized, but they did everything they could here."
Ayatollah Khamenei said: "Afghanistan is one example before your eyes. The Americans came and committed crimes in Afghanistan for 20 years, committed all kinds of crimes, and after 20 years, the same government that came against them came to power in Afghanistan. They gave it to it and left with this scandal."
