Iran voices readiness to address prisoners’ issue with US

Spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry has announced preparation for immediate implementation of an agreement with the United States to address the issue of prisoners.

Nasser Kana’ani in response to a question on a statement by two American authorities noted that Iran has repeatedly announced readiness to address the issue of prisoners.
 
He said that the issue should be discussed independently from the negotiations on Iran’s nuclear programs and the JCPOA.
 
Declaring Iran’s readiness for the immediate implementation of the existing agreement with Washington on releasing prisoners, the spokesman stressed that Tehran is ready to implement the agreement on the release and immediately return innocent Iranians who have fallen victims to the American judicial system on the false charges.
 
Kan'ani added that the US call for prisoners' release is just a show and Washington is not serious about the matter.
