Israeli regime has cancelled a summit to mark the second anniversary of a US-brokered deal signed between Tel Aviv and some Arab countries which meant to normalize ties and launch economic and political relations between them.

According to the report, diplomats from several Arab countries declined to participate in a summit scheduled to be held in the occupied lands on the second anniversary of so-called Abraham Accords.

The Abraham Accords is a deal between Israeli regime, the United Arab Emirates and the United States reached on 13 August, 2020.

Morocco and Sudan have followed UAE to join the agreement with mediation of US authorities.

This is while Esawi Freige, Regional Cooperation Minister of the Israeli regime has expressed regret over postponement of the meeting claiming that the reason is “election exigencies” and “to not drag our partners into the campaign."

Several Arab countries have firmly rejected joining the normalization in condemnation of the crimes committed by Israeli regime against Palestinian people, years of illegal occupation of their ancestral lands, expansion of illegal settlements and also imposing blockade on the Gaza Strip.
