The Secretary-General of Hezbollah pointed to the role of Martyr Qassem Soleimani during the 33-day war and before that in realizing the victories of the Lebanese resistance and said that the commander of the Quds Force intended to enter the battlefield personally.

Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed, "After consulting with Imad Mughniyeh, the senior commander of Hezbollah, we asked Qassem Soleimani not to enter the battlefield directly. Because the presence of Haj Qassem by our side was more important than entering the battlefield."

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah noted that Hezbollah's decision to go to war with the Zionist regime in the summer of 2006 was a completely Lebanese decision made by Hezbollah leaders.

Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, who traveled to Iraq on January 3, 2020 at the official invitation of the Iraqi authorities, were assassinated along with "Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis", the deputy commander of the Popular Mobilization Organization of Iraq (Hashd al-Shaabi) and 8 other people in the attack of the US terrorist forces near Baghdad airport.
