West reluctant to admit Iran's victory in beating COVID

Interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran has hailed Iranian frontline healthcare workers for endeavors throughout the pandemic infection saying the COVID-related death toll in the US and some European countries has exceeded other countries though they remain reluctant to admit the fact.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbari, in his speech at Friday prayer in Tehran lauded the sacrifice made by frontline Iranian healthcare workers to contain the pandemic infection stressing that resembled the devotion of Iranian forces defending the country during the imposed Iraq war, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).


He hailed the authorities for scheduling and executing public vaccination against COVID-19.

"The public played an important role by observing the health protocols" said the cleric and also highlighted the role of religious centers in contributing to containing the pandemic infection.

Senior scholar also underlined the role of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei in establishment of the National Taskforce against Coronavirus, mobilization of the armed forces to fight the disease and also "Mosavat" social campaign which aimed to aid the underprivileged during COVID-19.
 
Interim Friday prayer leader of Tehran also touched upon the international topics and said,” Regarding the active regional diplomacy of Iran, the government fulfilled its pledges and demands of the Supreme Leader.”
 
He concluded that Iran will carry out fair talks and will not admit bullying of other countries.
