Pakistan hails Iran

Due to the lack of facilities in Pakistan for firefighting, especially in forested areas and highlands, the government asked the Islamic Republic of Iran to help overcome the fire.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a humanitarian action and in order to help Pakistan's friendly and neighboring country to help extinguish fires in the forests and pastures of Baluchistan, sent an Ilyushin Il-76P water bomber aircraft to Pakistan last night.

According to Iran press on Tuesday, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, Pakistan's ambassador to Iran, wrote on his official Twitter account today on Tuesday that the Iranian firefighting plane landed at Rawalpindi air base in Pakistan on Monday evening and was scheduled to fly to the Sulaiman Mountains and "Sherani" to start a firefighting operation in Baluchistan province.
