Pres. Raisi says process of expanding Iran-Turkmenistan ties will accelerate

In a telephone call with Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdymukhamedov, the Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi referred to the expanding trend in Iran-Turkmenistan relations during the previous presidency, noting: "I am confident that this trend will be accelerated in the coming period under His Excellency."

 The President added: "With your father's measures during the previous presidency of Turkmenistan, the interactions between Tehran and Ashgabat in various fields, including gas, transit and rail cooperation, have progressed well, and I am sure this process will be accelerated in the coming period with your management."
 
In this telephone call, Serdar Berdymukhamedov congratulated the President and the people of Iran on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and said wished welfare, prosperity for the Iranian nation.
 
Referring to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries, the President of Turkmenistan stated: "In the years since the establishment of relations between Tehran and Ashgabat, relations in all fields have been actively expanded and developed. Turkmenistan is interested in making every effort to speed up the process of improving the level of bilateral interaction, given the diverse and numerous capacities available, and the activation of the Joint Economic Cooperation Commission will certainly help to achieve this goal.
