Iraq Foreign Ministry has summoned Hakan Rooth, Swedish chargé d'affaires in Baghdad to notify him on the recent burning of a copy of Qur'an by Rasmus Paludan leader of far-right political party in Sweden, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Iraqi Foreign Ministry expressed condemnation of the move by radical group for burning the holy book of Islam and provoking Muslims.
 
Iraqi ministry said the heinous move is in contrast with humane principles and will tarnish the relations with Muslims.
 
TRT World had broadcasted footages of an incident when a Swedish national set a copy of holy Qur'an on fire in a Muslim populated neighborhood.
 
Hundreds of protesters have taken to the streets to condemn the Islamophobic measure by the leader of the Danish party Stram Kurs (Hard Line).
 
The move has sparked massive protests and violence across the country.
