The second consular summit of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on Wednesday in Baku with the attendance of the Iranian Ambassador to Baku, Abbas Mousavi.

The relations between Iran and Azerbaijan were accelerated after the meeting of the two countries' presidents on the sidelines of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit in Ashgabat on November 28, 2021; subsequently, the talks between the two countries continued to boost relations such as in business and economic fields.
