Without economic diplomacy, country's interests will not be properly served

Chairman of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations said: "In economic diplomacy, until today we have not seen coordination in the country; without this coordination and economic diplomacy, the interests of the country will not be properly served.

The head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations added: "Economic diplomacy is aimed at establishing relations with scientific centers and markets that exist in other countries, so that the wheel of the country's economy spins properly."
 
Referring to the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in economic diplomacy, he stated: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has a very important role and responsibility to be able to pave the ground for these measures and to present Iranian products in world markets and in return, the political-economic interest of for the country is guaranteed.
 
Kharrazi stated: "So far, we have not seen coordination in the country. So our industrial and economic apparatuses were executing their contracts without informing the Foreign Ministry of the details of their contracts.
 
The ex-diplomat highlighted that economic diplomacy could help both the state agencies to obtain contracts and the political leaders to sign it, so this coordination and economic diplomacy does not exist to date and the interests of the country are not properly served.
 
The head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations added: "Today, due to a substantial change in the international economy, the use of new tools goes beyond the responsibility of the diplomatic apparatus on how to enable new digital spaces so that the country's producers can use more international space."
