"Ethnical diversity is capacity keeping Iran united", Huj. Shahriari

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought hailed the ethnical diversity and security in Iran in his remarks at the martyrs' cemetery in Kurdistan province.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, speaking on the sideline of his visit to the martyrs' cemetery in Sanandaj on Wednesday lauded the ethnical and cultural diversity in Iran stressing that the same diversity will boost solidarity among people, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said," Iran is a country with variety of cultures and ethnicities and the same diversity added by general loyalty to the country are the potentialities which boost unity among Iranian nation."
 
The cleric referred to the objectives behind his three-day visit to Kurdistan province and said," To voice unity, fraternity and commitment to solidarity with commandments of the Almighty God are the reasons which we seek in this trip."
 
He added," We also seek to expand cooperation between the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought with the Sunni scholars and supervise the measures taken for the people in Kurdistan province in order to strengthen the ambiance of fraternity between the Shia and Sunni communities."
 
Heading a delegation from major Islamic unity center, World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari is on a three-day visit to the Sunni-inhibited province of Kurdistan.
 
Top cleric visited the martyrs' cemetery in Sanandaj in the first part of his trip to the Iranian western province.
 
This is the second trip taken by prominent Shia cleric to a Sunni-inhibited province in Iran after his visit to Sistan and Baluchistan in early November.
