EU warns of demolition of Palestinian homes by Israeli regime

The European Union has warned Israeli regime against demolition of Palestinian homes by settlers stressing that the move fades prospects of peace between the two sides.

The European Union in its latest statement has denounced demolition of Palestinian homes by Israeli settlers stressing that the "illegal" move would undermine the prospects of peace, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The EU representative in Palestinian affairs stressed, in a twitter message, on ending the demolition of homes and any illegal move which leads to displacement of Palestinians from their homes.
 
The message also reads," Demolitions are illegal under international law and significantly undermine the prospects for peace."
 
"We reiterate our call to halt demolitions and any other unlawful practices that coerce Palestinians out of their homes"
 
According to the UN office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs the demolition of Palestinian homes has seen a 21 per cent increase
 
It added that there has been 28 per cent increase in displacement of the Palestinians from their homes.
 
22 Palestinians including 15 children have been reportedly displaced on Thursday amid Israeli plans for expansion of settlements in north, south and east of the occupied al-Quds.
