Prayer leader of Melbourne:

No country secure from extremism, Takfir

Prayer leader of Melbourne met with authorities at Zeinebiye Islamic center and mosque in Istanbul warned of extremism and Takfir (excommunication) as threats against all countries.


Hujjat-ul-Islam Ashfaq Wahidi, Friday prayer leader of Melbourne met with members of the community at Zeinebiye Islamic center stressed that the leaders of Islamic countries across the globe should jointly take steps and boost their solidarity to prevent division and hate crimes, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said," Takfiri members, under the name of Islam and pretext of performing Sharia, are in fact pursuing division and promoting hatred among Muslims.
 
The cleric warned of Takfir and extremism as threats challenging all countries and called for more attention for the younger generation and cautioning them of repercussions of extremism and Takfiri groups.

 
Friday prayer leader of Melbourne also urged the political and religious leaders to follow a unified approach to defend the people's rights.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Ashfaq Wahidi, Friday prayer leader of Melbourne and the executives at the Islamic center in Istanbul in this meeting also exchanged views on mutual relations and cooperation among Islamic denominations.
