Huj. Shahriari raps US-led arrogant powers over critical situation in Muslim world
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought detailed his view on the issues challenging the world of Islam and the reason behind naming the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference as "Islamic Unity, Peace and Avoidance of Division and Conflict in the World of Islam."

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, delivering speech on the 13th webinar of the Islamic Unity Conference 2021 on Friday evening rebuked the US-led world arrogant powers over sparking war and dispute in the world of Islam in order to justify their presence in Islamic countries, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said," The second problem is due to some servile Muslim states that pave the way for presence of the oppressors in Islamic countries and promote normalization of ties with enemies."
The cleric referred to some substantial disputes and textual differences in the religious beliefs as the grounds based on which the enemies rely.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari said the fourth issue challenging the world of Islam is betrayal of some Muslims and the extremist Shia and Sunni followers when they provide the means for dispute by desecrating sanctities of other denominations or issue permission for murder and looting others under the pretext of alleged Takfir (excommunication).
The senior cleric noted lack of religious democracy in some Islamic countries, making the state decisions by a certain family and also violating the civil rights and said," An ethnocentric, tribal or nationalistic approach-as existed in early Islam- and following blind prejudice is the sixth issue which has plagued the world of Islam.
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought noted that the seventh issue is the rebel groups in some countries and also creating an ambiance of suspicion and expansion of accusation and also bullying others for the interests of a certain party.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari called the rivalry for achieving allegiance among countries or even using enemies of Islam to beat the rivals for the eighth issue Muslim world is facing.
Top cleric also enumerated his proposals for settling the aforesaid issues and said," The first solution is resistance against world arrogant powers by establishing mighty military, security, economic and cultural systems."
We should firmly stand against the US hegemony as it our experience in the imposed Iraq war and fighting Daesh terrorists show.
According to the cleric the second solution is dependent upon Muslim scholar who should distance from tyrant governments devoted to the oppressors and enemies of Islam.
Hujja-ul-Islam Shahriari reiterated that different denominations should follow the etiquettes of dispute and added," To train the ignorant is a mission of the scholars and to reveal the traitors is a responsibility for the media."
As of the fifth solution, the Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought called on the Muslim nations to peacefully pursue their demands from their tyrant rulers.
"Ethnocentrism, tribalism and nationalism all go against Islam; therefore, all Muslim states should purify from such labels" he said as the sixth proposal for the current issues in the world of Islam.
He called on the opposition sides and rebel groups to follow rational solutions to settle their disagreements and prevent any form of dispute within their countries.
As of eighth solution the prominent scholar referred to a healthy rivalry saying," Rivalry among Islamic countries is not criticized as it can be quite constructive in leading the rivals for providing the best example for the world.
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought appreciated the participants for contributing to the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference.
The 35th edition of Islamic Unity Conference is underway in the capital Tehran on October 19-24 mainly in virtual meetings of Muslim scholars, intellectuals and thinkers from across the globe. The theme for Islamic Unity Conference 2021 is "Islamic Unity, Peace and Avoidance of Division and Conflict in the World of Islam."
The issue of Palestine and honoring the leading proximity figure, late Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri will be discussed in separate webinars in this event.
