Leader hails Iran's Greco-Roman wrestling team over victory in world championship

Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has issued a message on achieving the second place in 2021 World Wrestling Championship in Oslo.


The Leader in his message lauded the members of Iran's national team champions and their coach for bringing happiness to all and expressed hopes for more success for them, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Iran has managed to tally four gold medals and two bronzes to finish the tournament as runners up behind the Russian Wrestling Federation.
 
Meysam Delkhani in 63kg, Mohammadreza Garaei in 67kg, Mohammad Hadi Saravi in 97kg and Ali Akbar Yousefi in 130kg won gold medal while Mohammad Ali Garaei in 77kg and Pejman Pashatam in 82kg bagged bronze in this tournament.

 
The official website of United World Wrestling has nicknamed Mohammadali Garaei as "The Falcon" and Mohammadreza as "The Phoenix" for how he continually arose from the ashes of near-defeat.
 
Iran's Team Melli has gained 146 scores to stand the second in Greco Roman Wrestling World Championship 2021 held in Oslo.
