Iran sends fifth batch of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

Iran has sent its fifth shipment of humanitarian aid for the Afghan civilians in the neighboring country under Taliban government.

Afghan Red Crescent received the 50-ton shipment of humanitariuan aid including hygiene spuplies and food.
 
Another shipment of humanitarian aids including food and hygienic supplies was sent on Monday through Dugharun border.
 
The 94-ton shipment was delivered on six trailers and was handed over to the Taliban oficials at the border on Monday.
 
Islamic Republic has also sent three other shipments of humanitarian aids in the recent weeks as the Afghan civilians are in dire need of food and provisions following Taliban takeover of the country in mid August.
 
Two decades of foreign occupation has left Afghanistan impoverished particularly after the chaotic situation which the US pull out created in the war-torn country.
