Israeli army has targeted locations in the besieged Gaza Strip after six Palestinian prisoners from Hamas and Islamic Resistance group escaped the high security Gilboa prison.

Israeli army has announced in a statement released on Saturday that it has targeted locations in Gaza stating that the attack was carried out after a rocket hit the occupied territories late Friday.
 
The Israeli military claimed that its so-called Iron Dome intercepted the rocket launched from the Gaza which sounded sirens in Eshkol region.
 
More than 10 rockets had been fired from Gaza toward the occupied territories, Palestinian media reported earlier.
 
The attacks came after a major jailbreak by six Palestinian inmates from Gilboa prison.
 
Five of the escapees were from Islamic Jihad and a former commander of the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade in Jenin.
