"Shia, Sunni disagreements should be discussed in expert level", cleric

Senior Iranian cleric noted that the disagreement between Shia and Sunni should be discussed by experts and in its scientific level expressing regret over lack of religious experts with proper command on the topic.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hadi Mirzaee, expert on Islamic proximity issues in an interview with Iranian state Radio Goftegoo referred to the cultural challenges of the Islamic Revolution against world arrogant powers and noted that the issue used to be a shared concern for both Shia and Sunni, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He noted that there is no difference between Shia and Sunni on cultural issues and expressed regret that the division and distance between the two Islamic denominations in the level of the states and authorities rather than among people.
 
He referred to the vast commonalities between the Shia and Sunni and added," In view of the Sunni Islam, Sufi is he who follows the prophet (PBUH); hence, Sunni Islam in its heart approves succession of Imam Ali (AS)."
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Mirzaee stressed that loyalty to Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is the factor for unity among Sunni community.
