Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi stressed necessity of national talks, in an Iftar meal with religious scholars, and warned of sectarianism based on intrigues and division as is Zionism.

Iraqi Prime Minister attended an Iftar meeting in early days of Ramadan 2021 stressing the role of religious scholars in informing and proper teaching of the people warning of sectarianism, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said," Religious scholars play a key role in revival of a society suffering from injustice, dictatorship and chaos."
 
He highlighted "moderate dialogue" to help a country out of sectarianism and noted," Your moderate discourse was the very same thing which helped with the present stability in the country.
 
"Sectarianism is similar to racism and Zionism" Al Kadhimi noted and added," All of them base their values on intrigues and division."
 
He hailed the holy month of Ramadan as an opportunity for talks over reconstruction and supporting the future of Iraq.
