"Desecration stands for religious division", cleric
Prominent Iranian cleric warned of enemies' long term projects for dividing Muslims and called desecration as a current tool for dispersing Muslims.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought met with Sheikh Mahdi Quraishi, renowned professor of Najaf Seminary in the Iraqi holy city warning of desecration as a tool by enemies to divide Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He stressed that moving in line with Islamic proximity is a logical and effective response to pioneers of division and Takfir (excommunication) and noted," At present division and dispersion of Muslims is an aftermath of desecration."
The cleric stressed necessity of vigilance for all Muslims and added," Our strategy is to start dialogue as a means for boosting friendship and a strategy for foiling hostile plots."
"Efforts to promote Islamic proximity will thwart Zionist and American plots for devastation of Islamic countries and provoking tribal and sectarian rifts" noted the scholar.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari made the visit in part of his trip to Iraq in a bid to meet with political and religious figures in the neighboring country.
