Shia cleric warns of Karabakh turning to hub of Wahhabism
Be cautious so that Karabakh does not turn into a hub of Wahhabism and terrorist groups as I know they have been investing and propagating their ideology in the region since long.

Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani, top Shia cleric has issued a message addressing the Karabakh webinar held by Iran's center for directing seminaries hailing Azerbaijan as an early cradle for Shia Islam warning of plots by enemies of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He expressed regret against appearance of different movements which have led to disintegration of Islamic lands and occupation of Muslim countries by non-Muslims.
He said," Azerbaijan has been a cradle of Shia Islam and the birth place of several prominent clerics" and highlighted Iran's support for the people in Azerbaijan as well as cultural, scientific and religious cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
Ayatollah Sobhani referred to the liberation of occupied Azeri lands and said," The occupied lands should be returned to the Islamic countries and the two sides should remain committed to the international contracts."
He warned of Wahhabism and said," Be cautious so that Karabakh does not turn into a hub of Wahhabism and terrorist groups as I know they have been investing and propagating their ideology in the region since long."
Top Iranian cleric stressed necessity of Islamic kindness and behavior to be maintained for Armenians in the liberated areas.
Ayatollah Sobhani issued the message addressing international 17 Rabi' al-Awwal Karabakh Conference held by the managing center of seminaries in Iran.
