Iranian Shia cleric hails Sunni scholars to promote Islamic Revolution objectives

Representative of the Supreme Leader in Kermanshah Province has praised hundreds of contribution made by clerics to promote Islam.

Ayatollah Mostafa Olama, prominent Shia cleric and representative of the Supreme Leader in Kermanshah Province, hailed the sincere endeavors by religious scholars to bolster Islam, holy Qur'an, Qibla (praying direction of Muslims) and religious mandates, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The cleric made the comments at a webinar on Iranian Sunni scholars jointly held by Iran Deputy at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and council of Sunni seminaries.
 
He added," A great number of Sunni scholars have been a companion of late Imam Khomeini (RA), Islamic Revolution and sincerely served people from all walks of life."
 
Ayatollah Olama lauded two Sunni scholars from Kermanshah, Kalifa Seyyed Ali and Kalifa Seyyed Hussein who were highly esteemed by all people and whose honest endeavors were known to all.
 
He also named late Mamusta Sheikh-ul-Islam, Molla Abdullah Ghafouri and Mamusta Mohammadi as prominent figures in post revolution era that spent their life to serve the objective of the Islamic Revolution.
 
Ayatollah Olama stressed importance of maintaining a clear objective regarding Islamic unity and fraternity as the past generations did.
 
Senior cleric made the comments in an online event jointly held by Iran Deputy at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and council of Sunni seminaries on Tuesday February 23.
