Sheikh Maher Hamoud, senior Lebanese cleric in his speech at the webinar held for the first martyrdom anniversary of General Qassem Soleimani referred to the behavior of the top commander as true way for foiling sectarian rifts and symbol for the great experience of Islamic proximity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Top Lebanese cleric attended the online meeting of religious and cultural figures from across the globe held by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought on Sunday highlighted the positive outcomes of endeavors by General Qassem Soleimani and deputy of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Committee for Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen.
He referred to the massive funeral held for General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Muhandes in Iran and Iraq stressing that assassination can never tarnish or marginalize the great efforts of the two counter-terrorism figures.
He slammed the United States for breaching all international laws by assassination of General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Muhandes and said” The US humiliated all claims on defending the human rights and proved that its claims are merely in line with its interests and not the other nations.”
“The hostility behind assassination of General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Muhandes which Donald Trump was proud of, clarifies the importance of Quds Force and success of its efforts in confrontation with world Zionism.
He also referred to popularity of General Soleimani among his forces and said,” The behavior of the top commander as true way for foiling sectarian rifts and symbol for the great experience of Islamic proximity.”
