Ayatollah Alireza A'rafi, member of the council at Al-Mustafa University in his message referred to the history of the religious academy, number of graduates and the effective role of the university in promoting Islamic education and research, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The cleric in part of his message wrote," To boycott such academy which serves humanity, advancement, justice and fact-finding is more of a proof for the arrogant and domineering nature of the United States."
Ayatollah A'rafi added," It is not surprising to see this behavior from a government with a long record of aggression, oppression, bloodshed and betrayal of other nations and also assassination of scientific elites particularly from Muslim countries."

Manager of seminaries in this statement condemned the illegal and inhumane act by the US treasury and stressed the hostile move will be in vain and quicken annihilation of the United States and world Zionism.
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has boycotted Iran’s Al-Mustafa International University for alleged facilitating IRGC-QF recruitment efforts and Iran's envoy to Yemen in early December.
