The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has opened nomination to choose Muslim of the year 2020.

Muslim civil rights and advocacy group in the United States has opened nominations for American Muslim of the Year award, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Council on American-Islamic Relations announced that the person or group nominated for the award should be settled in the United States and able to attend the online ceremony to be held on December 19.
 
The person or group will be awarded over “exemplary service to the country and the community” at the local or national level over the past year.
 
Founded in 1994 with its headquarter in Washington DC CAIR has worked to promote a positive image of Islam and Muslims in America. Through media relations, lobbying, education and advocacy, CAIR works to make sure a Muslim voice is represented.
