Raqeda al-Masri, university professor attending the webinar of Western Asia on "Islamic Cooperation in Face of Calamities and Disasters" called for cooperation of Islamic countries and exchange of experiences in face of the current pandemic infection.

Arab speaking professor attended the webinar as part of the 34th Islamic Unity Conference which is held virtually due to the new coronavirus pandemic praised Islamic nation as a nation which has changed threats into opportunities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
She lauded the Islamic Republic of Iran for its perseverance in face of threats, economic and political sanctions and the international pressure.
 
The professor called on the Muslim states to exchange medical experiences and launch a vast virtual network for cultural and scientific cooperation.
 
Heifa Soleiman al-Imam, professor of International University of Lebanon in this webinar called the outbreak of the new coronavirus as an opportunity which revealed countries with fraternal ties on which Lebanon can depend upon for cooperation.
 
He referred to the new social behaviors developed as a result of the new coronavirus outbreak and necessity of social distancing and emergence of virtual meetings; hence, the pandemic infection can provide the grounds for a government system different from the past.
 
Thinkers and religious figures from Bahrain, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan and Lebanon attended the webinar of western Asia on "Islamic Cooperation in Face of Calamities and Disasters" as part of the online meetings of the 34th Islamic Unity Conference.
 
The 34th Islamic Unity Conference is underway as over 350 Muslim professors and scholars from across the globe are scheduled to deliver speech during more than 20 webinars in different parts of the world.
