“US, Israel bigger threat than coronavirus”, Lebanese cleric

Top Lebanese cleric making delivered speech at the opening ceremony of the 34^th Islamic Unity Conference held online due to the new coronavirus outbreak calling the United States, Israel and their supporters as a threat worse than the pandemic, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He called on all people to warn of the US and Israel as a great threat in conferences like the annual Islamic Unity Conference and said,” We should stand firm in our stance against Israeli regime and should not hesitate the fact that Israel will annihilate.”

Lebanese Sunni scholar hailed the efforts of Islamic Republic of Iran to support Palestine and urged all countries to back Iran in confrontation with Israel.

Sheikh Maher Hammoud slammed the prejudiced people backed by arrogant powers and said,” Scholars should warn the people the people against this bigotry.”

Secretary General of the Union of Resistance Scholars referred to normalization of ties between UAE and Bahrain with Israel and said,” We slam this treachery and warn these countries that they will be humiliated soon.”
He referred to failures of Israel in Gaza and Lebanon and also ending of the invincibility of the US in Syria, Iraq and Yemen and called on all Muslims to stand mighty against enemies.

Top Lebanese scholar made the comments at the opening of the 34^th Islamic Unity Conference held online by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought due to the new coronavirus pandemic.

The 34^th Islamic Unity Conference is annually held concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and the Islamic Unity Week though this year the 2020 meeting on “Islamic Cooperation in Face of Calamities and Disasters” is held virtually because of the pandemic infection.
