Spokesman: US’ New Anti-Iran Sanctions to Fail

10 Oct 2020 - 9:16

TEHRAN (FNA)- Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh blasted the new sanctions Washington has posed against Iran’s financial system, and said the US boycotts will fail similar to the past.

Khatibzadeh wrote on his Twitter account on Thursday censured the new round of sanctions against 18 Iranian banks, and stressed that the move will not be able to force the Iranian nation to surrender.

Frustrated by humiliating failures & futility of "maximum pressure", Bibi-Firsters lure Trump into doubling down on inhumane targeting of ordinary Iranians.

The same gang has carelessly gambled with America's interests & reputation for past 4 years.

In relevant remarks in early July, Iranian First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri said that the US has failed to bring Iran to its knees through imposing economic sanctions, adding that it is time to defend our success.

US' plots to destroy Iran's economy will definitely fail and Iran will continue gaining more successes, Jahangiri said on Monday July 7.

"Iran's economy is growing positively in the non-oil sector and it is a good opportunity for us to support and defend Iran's success," he added.
