34th Islamic Unity Conference has been scheduled to discuss "Islamic Cooperation during Disasters and Adversities" to be held in webinar between October 29th - November 3rd.

World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Unity Conference has announced that the annual Islamic Unity Conference which is held concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) will be held in an online event due to the new coronavirus outbreak, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The online event will include regional webinars from the Americas, Europe, Turkey, Russia and the commonwealth countries, South Africa, the peninsula East Asia, North Africa and west Asia.
Iran's President Hassan Rouhnai, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Scools of Thought, Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari and deputy of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naeem Qassim will deliver the main speeches which is going to be held in webinar.
This is while a number of prominent figures active in promoting Islamic unity, muftis, prayer leaders and intellectuals from across the world of Islam have been invited to deliver speeches for the upcoming event.
World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought will be holding the international event in collaboration with Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Islamic Azad University, University of Religions and Islamic Denominations, Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations and Al-Mustafa International University among many other organizations and cultural centers in Iran.
As an initiation of the late founder of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), the week concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), based on the Sunni and Shia calendar is dubbed as Islamic Unity Week.
Iran has been holding the annual Islamic Unity Conference during the week as part of efforts to boost solidarity among different Islamic denominations.
