Prayer leader of Sunni community in Mahabad, Abdussalam Emami has blasted the French weekly Charlie Hebdo for disrespecting Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) stressing that the move meant to deviate attentions from recently agreement for normalization of ties between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israeli regime.

Molavi Abdussalam Emami stressed the disrespecting of Prophet Mohammad is in fact planned as a distraction of minds from the major issues in the world of Islam, namely normalization of ties between the UAE and Tel Aviv regime, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He stressed,” Enemies, particularly the US and western countries are in pursuit of diverting the minds of public from the key issues” and added,” Their first concern is increasing popularity and influence of Islam in these countries.”
 
“World colonial powers and anti-Islam westerners have come to a dead end and are not able to confront Islamic values” said the Iranian Sunni scholar and stressed,” therefore, enemies are in pursuit of dividing Muslims while quite the opposite has happened.”
 
French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo has reprinted cartoon disrespecting Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), a move which has irked Muslims across the globe.
