Iran's Policy making Council of Friday prayers in its statement blasted the recent sacrilege of Islamic sanctities demanding an answer on why the denial of Holocaust would lead to jail term and desecration of Qur'an is justified as freedom of speech, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Part of the statement reads," The insulting of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) by French weekly reveals the desperateness of arrogant powers in confrontation with discourse of Islamic awakening and the resistance front."

The message by council of Iranian prayer leaders noted that sacrilege of Islamic sanctities means disrespecting sanctities of all monotheistic religions and all prophets.

It stressed," To react against such desecration is a mission for all freedom seekers and awakened people across the globe."

Council of Friday prayer leaders noted that to deviate the minds of public from the deteriorated western civilization and also distract the minds of Muslims from the issue of Palestine and normalization of ties with Israeli regime as two reasons behind the desecration of holy Qur'an and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Iranian prayer leaders in this message called on followers of all monotheistic religions and Muslim intellectuals to anti-religion and desecrating campaigns.
