Iran's major Islamic unity center offers condolences over passing of Sunni scholar

Senior Iranian cleric offered condolences over the passing of prominent Sunni cleric particularly hailing the late scholar over efforts to foil anti-Islam plots during the Iran-Iraq war.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Mousa Mousavi, deputy of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, has issued a message to extend condolences over the passing of Molla Mohammad Mohammadi, prayer leader of the Sunni community in Kermanshah Province, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The cleric in part of his message praised the Molla Mohammad Mohammadi as "persistent", "popular" and "honest" in religious and social arenas.
 
He also lauded the late prayer leader for years of cultural, religious and social endeavors in line with Islamic proximity.
 
"Late Mamousta Molla Mohammad Mohammadi spared no effort in cooperation with Islamic organizations particularly for foiling the hostile plots hatched in western parts of the country during the imposed Iran-Iraq war" wrote the deputy of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in the message.
 
Mamusta Molla Mohammad Mohammadi (1942-2020), prayer leader of the Sunni community and renowned figure from Kermanshah Province, passed away due to liver problems.
