Thirty-Thousand Afghan Immigrants Supported by Gov't in Golestan

Over 30,000 Afghan immigrants residing in Iran's north-eastern Golestan Province are receiving social and medical support offered by the Iranian government amid the outbreak of the novel corona virus.


Over 30,000 Afghan immigrants residing in Iran's north-eastern Golestan Province are receiving social and medical support offered by the Iranian government amid the outbreak of the novel corona virus.
Mehdi Dehroyeh, a local official, made the statement in an interview with IRNA published on Monday.
"Health and livelihood support is offered to refugees and immigrants residing in Golestan and the process of offering support still continues," he said.
Besides the government, charities in the province also provide Afghan individuals with various kinds of support, he said.
The provincial officials also help the Afghan community protect itself in the face of the corona virus pandemic, Dehroyeh said.
