Sunni cleric vows support for Islamic system, Muslim solidarity

Iranian prominent Sunni scholar vowed the support of the minority religious group for the Islamic system and boosting solidarity among Muslim communities.

 Molavi Nazir Ahmad Salami, member of the Supreme Council at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought attended the ceremony to bid farewell with Ayatollah Araki, former secretary general of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and vowed constant support of the Sunni community for Islamic unity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He underlined importance of directorship for institutions calling the Muslim world to unity especially in an era of abundant challenges and intrigues against the world of Islam.
 
The prominent cleric hailed the efforts of secretary generals since establishment of the world forum expressing hope for the most achievements to be made during the directorship of the new secretary general Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari.
 
Molavi Salami vowed that the Sunni community will maintain its cooperation with the Islamic system and unifying efforts of the world forum.
 
Top Iranian Sunni cleric made the comments in a ceremony to mark the endeavors of Ayatollah Araki, former secretary general of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and introduction of the new secretary general Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari held at the former US embassy in Tehran.
