Iranian cleric hailed the role of religious scholars as role models for the people stressing the contribution they can make for materialization of the Islamic unity.

Ebrahim Razini, secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) related on the role of religious scholars in promoting solidarity in the world of Islam and highlighted the credibility of religious guidelines for people from all denominations.
 
He counted the Friday prayer sermons and Qur’an interpretation sessions as cultural opportunities particularly held by clerics as they stress importance of Islamic unity reiterated in several instances in the holy book of Islam.
 
The cleric noted that Muslim scholars can play an active role in promoting Islamic unity via gatherings like Islamic Unity Conference annually held by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
 
Ebrahim Razini called on religious figures to furthermore mull ways for materialization of proximity among all Islamic denominations.
