“Sanctions meant to break popular resistance, spark unrest”, ex-envoy
Ahmad Dastmalchian, Iranian former ambassador to Lebanon in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) referred to the popular protests across Lebanon and dividing that into people voicing their legal demands and those who ride on the wave of the critical situation in the country.

He referred to the failure of proxy wars sparked by the US-Arab-Hebrew axes to destabilize, disintegrate and dominate the region as well as imposing utmost pressure on the resistance front and said the recent efforts to destabilize Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and partly Iran.

He said,” A key element about Iran and Lebanon is the wise leadership in both countries whose guidance foiled the plots targeting the security in these countries.”

“Popularity of Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah among all tribes and ethnical groups and his weighted political, spiritual and security presence is the key element for balance in the Arab country” said the former envoy and quoted the secretary general of Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah stressing Lebanon’s security as a necessity which could not be played with.

Ahmad Dastmalchian slammed the US economic sanctions as a weapon to break the resistance of nations and spark unrest in the countries.

He said the sanctions will be ineffective during the time as the people will start their own way to resist against that.
