Supreme Leader appoints new director for World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought

In a decree issued by the bureau of the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, Sheikh Hamid Shahriari, has been appointed as the new secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Part of the decree, already issued by the official website of the Supreme Leader says," Symptoms for failure of the separatist policies targeting Muslim brothers are known status quo" adding," This is while world arrogant powers have made utmost efforts for dividing the Islamic community."

Supreme Leader in this decree said the logicality of Muslims has led the elites to resist against intrigues and sectarianism which counters the policies of world arrogant powers that pursues fueling the fire between Muslims and has fortunately failed in different instances.

Ayatollah Khamenei in this decree noted," World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought is expected to make use of the infinite capacities of Islamic logicality, potential in scientific forces across the world of Islam, to take giant steps for ideological and practical proximity of the Islamic denominations and revive the great movement which began decades ago."

The Leader also expressed gratitude over the efforts of Ayatollah Mohsen Araki over directing the World Forum during the past years.

Established as the inspiration of the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic, World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought began its work in 1990 in a bid to highlight the common grounds between the different Islamic denominations and counter the efforts targeting solidarity of Muslims across the globe.
