Berlin cathedral hosts Islam-Christianity meeting

Fifth meeting of Islam and Christianity has been held in Berlin Cathedral as participants exchanged views and discussed religious doubts on the two major beliefs.


Titled “Common Values of Islam and Christianity” the fifth interfaith meeting of Muslim and Christian leaders and intellectuals has been held in Berlin Cathedral on
 
Muslim figures including Hujjat-ul-Islam Nasir Niknejad, director of Islamic Center in Berlin, Hamid Mohammadi, Iran’s cultural attaché in Germany, officials and executives from Berlin Cathedral and also a number of university students participated in the fifth Islam-Christianity interfaith meeting to discuss the common values shared by these religions.
 
The meeting reportedly concluded with the intellectuals from both religions giving response on misunderstandings of the other group.
 
Several interfaith meetings of Islam and Christianity have been held so far as the sessions traditionally close with religious leaders of both sides answering questions with the aim of bringing an accurate understanding of Qur’an and Bible.
 
The latest population of Muslims, according to a 2015 survey, says an estimate number of 4.4 to 4.7 million Muslims live in the European country.
