Yemen, Iraq top on agenda of Muslim world charity institutions

Union of Muslim philanthropists and Charities held on second day of the 33rd Islamic Unity Conference naming Yemen and Iraq on top of the agenda for the Muslim charity group.


Hussein Anvari, former executive of Imam Khomeini (RA) Relief Foundation (IKRF) said formation of charity organizations across the world of Islam meant to prevent effluence and affluence in Muslim world, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said, "Another important mission of the commission is classification and prioritization of demands in the Muslim world; hence if the major needs are not met then to fulfill the minor necessities will not work."
 
Anvari noted that Union of Muslim philanthropists and Charities can take giant steps in line with building a network of charities and provide the groudns for promoting the strategy of "diplomacy of support", establishing the Islamic nation and also materialization of new Islamic civilization.
 
He counted Yemen and Palestine as the first priority for charity contribution in the world of Islam and proposed launching a social media for charity groups across the world of Islam.
 
The commission held meeting on the third day of the 33rd Islamic Unity Conference held at Tehran's Parsian Azadi Hotel.
 
The annual event is underway on 14-16 November, 2019 under the theme of "Ummah Unity in Defense of al-Aqsa Mosque."
