Islamic Unity Conference, an instance of Muslim solidarity, Ayat. Araki

Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought met with a group of Russian participants to the 33^rd Islamic Unity Conference

He praised the Islamic Unity Conference as one manifestation of unity among world Muslims and said," The prime message of this convention is that Muslims are capable of joining in a unified body."

The cleric touched upon commonalities between the communities in Russia and the Balkans and noted," The key feature shared between them is that both bridge the Muslims in the east and those in Europe and western countries."

Ayatollah Araki highlighted the role of Islamic societies in Russia and the Balkans for transferring the true Islamic concepts and lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to Europe and the US.

He counted the quick advancements made in Russia and the Balkans as the second feature shared between the two regions and said," Although Islamic activities have been allowed for less than 25 years, the holy religion has swiftly promoted in Russia and the Balkans."

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought counted cultural assets as the third shared feature and said," These spiritual tendencies make an advantage to prevent infiltration of Takfiri (excommunication) and extremist movements."

Ayatollah Araki highlighted the role of Islamic societies in Russia and the Balkans for contributing to the world of Islam.
