The 33rd Islamic Unity Conference was inaugurated today Wednesday November 14 in a ceremony attended by President Hassan Rouhani at the Islamic Summit Hall in Tehran.

According to Taghrib News Agency, the conference is being attended by hundreds of local and foreign Shia and Sunni Muslim Scholars from across the Islamic World.
The main motto of the conference is "Islamic Unity for Defense of Al Aqsa Mosque" and programs and committees of the conference are mostly around the said topic.  
 Meeting of the guests of the conference with the Supreme Leader, renewing allegiance with founder of the Islamic Republic, holding 20 specialized committees, paying tribute to prominent figures of cause of proximity of religions, celebrating the birthday of the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and unveiling the art works related to Proximity of religions are some of the events that will take place during the conference days.
